This recipe is a delicious and absolutely guilt free snack, that my beautiful friend Amanda shared with me. Chocolate Brownie Protein bites are perfect for the mid afternoon cravings and one little bite is all you need to be satisfied. I love keeping these in the fridge. I love that you can feel like you’re having a real treat even when you’re being healthy. I love that they are so darn easy to mix up and don’t take long at all.
I’ve linked some of my favourite brands in the ingredients below, but feel free to use your favourites, or whatever you have on hand. You can even switch out peanut butter for any nut butter of your choice.
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond meal
- ⅓ cup cacao powder
- ¼ cup luxe vanilla protein (or protein of your choice)
- ⅓ cup peanut butter
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 block of 70%+ Lindt dark chocolate
How to make Chocolate Brownie Protein Bites
- Throw all of the ingredients except the dark chocolate into a food processor and process until well combined.
- Roll the dough into bite-sized balls.
- Break up the chocolate and microwave for a minute, then stir. Microwave for further 10-20 second increments, stirring between each until it’s fully melted.
- Roll the balls in the melted dark chocolate and place onto a lined baking tray.
- Put the balls into the fridge to set, then transfer to a fridge container to store.
